Banner Instructions
Each zone is encouraged to bring a banner to the convention. It should have a design which illustrates our theme: The Lord is My Strength and My Shield. This is based on Psalm 28:7a, The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
Here are some details:
The finished banner size should be 3' x 5'.
You may not use the convention logo on your banner, but please try to find a design which reflects our theme.
You can use your choice of colors.
Please do not use heavy or bulky fabrics, as the banner should be easy to manage when carried.
Your zone's name should be on the front of the banner, abbreviated, if necessary. Also indicate your zone name on the lower left corner on the back side of the banner.
Attach two ties to the back of the banner. One tie should be at the center of the banner width, about 10"-12" from the top. The other tie should be at the center of the banner width, about 10"-12" from the bottom. These ties should be long enough to tie a bow around a 2" pole. Please stitch the ties to the back, and avoid using Velcro for them, as it has proved ineffective.
At the top, attach the banner to a 1" dowel with an eye screw on each end of the dowel. Use a strong ΒΌ" or larger-diameter cord. Make a small loop at the center for hanging. Secure the cording through each eye screw. Knot the cord on the outside of each screw.
